Class of 2005
Amy (Lesniak) Hirzel ’05, was one of 14 educators chosen to create curricula for Write Out, a free two-week writing event, organized through a partnership of the National Writing Project and the National Park Service. Her lessons are featured nationally and focus on writing poetry inspired by the unique Northeast Ohio region.
Class of 1970
Rick Parschen ’70 was inducted into the Elyria Bowling Association Hall
of Fame in June 2021. This is his 4th Bowling Hall of Fame Induction. In July 2021, Rick participated in the West Virginia Senior Sports Classic and won the gold medal in men’s single games. Rick also bowled in the Michigan Senior Olympics and won the silver medal in August 2021.
