A large puffer fish is always present near a car in the parking lot. A lot of lionfish are also permanent residents of the reef. Tons of macro life such as Blennies live inside the gaps of concrete blocks as well as inside the recycled boOles. Juvenile moray eels also make The Garden their home. Some3mes huge groupers take shelter from strong currents by hiding next to the huge rocks. Divers can get brief glimpses of a massive shoal of barracudas circling the reef looking for easy prey. If you stay quiet and focus, you can also hear the noise made by the reef and barnacles. Also, let's not forget Stan the grouper!
Temple reef structure offers shelter to a wide variety of juvenile fish. Use torchlight to look inside the cramped spaces to find fish hiding inside. Due to the congrega3on of bigger fishes in and near Temple reef, one can no3ce the presence of much smaller macro life and sand dwellers living just outside the reef.
