Have all the tools: You must ensure you have a dress shirt and dress shoes to wear whilst trying on suits. These will give you a better idea of
the t and any good store will be able to sort you out with these essentials whilst you’re trying on.

To pick or un-pick: It’s okay, in fact ad- visable, to remove the branded label that usually sits on the sleeve of your jacket but we advise you to leave the external pockets stitched up as this will accentuate the ele- gance of the cut and shape of your jacket.
To the tailors: If the store doesn’t o er a tailoring service then it’s best to take it to
a tailor who knows what they’re doing. A tailor can alter the length of the sleeves of your jacket as well as taper the torso. Your trousers can be lengthened or shortened whilst the waist can be brought in (not too much though as it might a ect the t round the bum and crotch).
Accessorise: Wear brightly coloured shirts and ties in pink and turquoise and interest- ing cu inks that re ect your personality.
Clean up: If you’re getting good wear from your suit then an evening out with the lads a er work will inevitably leave you smelling like an ashtray; it’s best to take it to the dry cleaners at least once a month or more o en if need be (do not wash your suit in the ma- chine or by hand).

AAccessorise
ccessories can be just as important
as the suit when it comes to injecting some personality into an outfit, so take time to find the perfect additions and
ensure they match your suit. Cuff-links add a touch of sophistication whilst a patterned tie can look great against a dark suit. A bright silk tie is ideal for adding a splash of colour to summer events.
