Because I decided on a themed wedding, Alice in Wonderland, I had something speci c in mind. In the end I found my wedding skirt from a vintage shop in Cape Town. The blue corset en blue and green petticoats I had to import from overseas.
WHAT IS YOUR BEST MEMOERIES ABOUT YOUR SPECIAL DAY?

With the help of my two bridesmaids, Lindie Otto and Ilse De Beer, and a couple of other friends, the wedding decor was pretty much a DIY wedding. Because of the theme and what I had in mind it was much easier and less expensive to do everything ourselves.
The hiring of glassware, underplates etc. I got from Marchelle Hugo from HUGO PARTY HIRE in Kraaifontein.

Having the most important people in our lives to share the precious day with us. The weather was wonderful, the vibe was awesome and everyone had a spectacular time. Louis and his team made everything go seamless.
THE CAKE?
The wedding cake was made by Anneke De Wet at ANNEKE MADE WITH LOVE in Brackenfell. It was a coffee and Amarula cake.
Lots and lots of champagne!!! Also remember your wedding day goes by so fast it’s over in the blink of a eye. So on the big day there is no use in fretting over the stuff that didn’t hap- pen or should still happen before the I do’s. The only person that will know about those mediocre things that didn’t happen is you and maybe the bottom of your bottle of champagne... So just sit back, enjoy the fuss over you and enjoy the Wonderland you helped create for yourself, your hus- band and the ones closest to you.
