Message from Past District Governor Jason Chan

To Rotarians of Rotary Club of New Territories
Dear Fellow Rotarians:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for providing me
with guidance throughout my rotary journey since joining my club,
Rotary Club of The Peak on 9 January 1995. Being born, raised and
operating a family business in the New Territories, I am closely
bonded with the fraternity of your club. Your club, founded by the late
Charter President Chan Yat Sun, MBE, JP in 1969, is a renowned
rotary club and a pioneer in taking care of those in need in the New
Territories which were in the old days very remote and have little access to the amenity we enjoy
today. Rotary Park in Tai Mo Shan, New Territories is one of the most important rotary
landmarks showcasing our district’s contributions to the local community. The annual Area 6
Career Expo headed by your club is also one of the highlights of our district.

Whatever positions I have taken up in our district in the past years, such as district governor,
assistant regional rotary coordinator, assistant regional rotary foundation coordinator, district
rotary foundation chair, district installation chair and district peace committee chair, support
from your club has been tremendous.

I also treasure very much the assistance that members of your club have afforded me including
taking up of key positions in district during my year as district governor in 2010-11 to help the
people in need and promote peace and world understanding.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to wishing you all the best on your 50 Anniversary
and a successful and enjoyable celebration dinner.
