Dixie State Athletics
Dixie State Athletics recently transitioned from the Junior College ranks to the NCAA Division II competition level. In 2007–08, Dixie State began to play in the Pacific West Conference, which includes teams from Hawaii, California, Arizona, and now Utah. In addition, the DSU football team joined the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC), which features programs from California, Oregon, and Washington.
At the NJCAA level, Dixie State’s athletic programs consistently enjoyed time in the national spotlight. Since 2000, the university’s athletic teams have won four national championships in women’s soccer (2000/2003), men’s basketball (1985/2002), and men’s baseball (2004). Now in
the PWC Dixie State has won Championships in men’s golf (2015/2016), women’s soccer (2009), men’s basketball (2010/2011/2012/2013/2015),
baseball (2009/2011/2014/2015), softball (2011/2013/2014/2015), and volleyball (2015).
