midst of moral darkness and built an ark to the saving of his family. Genesis 6:1-14

despised family background, but ESTHER could not but obey her foster father and risk death for her
patriotism and people. Esther 5:1-14

but PETER and ANDREW could not. They forsook all and followed Jesus. Matthew 4:18-22
Others saw God’s love restricted, God’s people as a chosen few, and God’s strategy limited to Israel but

Tips about Disciple Making
Disciple-making is the process of personal spiritual growth in various aspects of the Christian life. It is:
1. Putting Christ first in all things (Mark 8:34-38.) It involves putting off “self-centeredness” and putting
on “Christ-centeredness.”
2. Following the teachings of Jesus Christ (John 8:31-32) This is a matter of turning away from our own
personal desires and seeking to obey the words and ways of our Savior, Jesus Christ who lived a life on
earth of complete obedience to God, the Father. (Philippians 2:6-8)
3. Fruitfulness (John 15:5-8). Our job is not to produce fruit, but to live so close to Christ that what we
say and do will be used by the Holy Spirit to produce spiritual fruit in ourselves and others.
4. Love for Other Disciples (John 13:34-35). These verses tell us that love for other believers is evidence
of our being a member of God’s family. We are taught in our growing into Christlikeness to think more
highly of others and to look out for their interests before ours.
5. Evangelism – Making disciples of Others (Matthew 28:18-20). We are to share our faith and tell non-
believers about Christ and the changes He has brought about in our lives. We have something to offer
them no matter what our maturity level. Even a new Christian though not knowing much of God’s work
can share their experience of coming to know the Savior.
Some Key Concepts in Discipling Others…. By Phil Stevenson (https://www.seedbed.com/5-principles-
for-effective-disciple-making-in-the-21st-century/)
There are five key principles that influence effective disciple-making. These principles determine
process, structure, and material for disciple-making. Effective disciple-making must incorporate the
following:
1. Effective disciple-making must be relational: It has to have an element of life on life. People are
discipled in relationship, not in the transference of knowledge or content.
