presence of severe persecution. Today, the basis for our victory over false teachings still remains;
standing firm and holding fast to the authentic gospel. Paul taught us to endure through suffering,
and because of our relationship with Jesus Christ, we might face many troubles (John 16:33; Phil
1:29; 2 Cor. 4:17).
