16. The 17th edition of Malaysia International Halal Showcase
2020 will be held from 1st to 4th April 2020 at the Malaysia
International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
17. For 2020, we are looking at bigger participation with more
booth occupancy (1,200 booths) from participating
countries around the world. During MIHAS 2019, we
received the first participation from the Qatari as a trade
exhibitor. It is hoped that what had been conveyed during
the Joint Trade Committee meeting (JTC) held in Kuala
th
th
Lumpur on the 8 and 10 October 2019 that the Qatari
will be sending a big delegate to take part in this prestige
event will be materialised.
18. For the past 15 years, MIHAS had brought a total of 4,382
international buyers from more than 50 countries for a
business matching session with almost 7,400 Malaysian
companies. Over 54,000 business meetings were
arranged which resulted in more than RM 18 billion
(>USD4 billion) worth of actual and potential sales. Thus,
making it as the best platform to be leveraged by the
Qatari as a trading platform and a gate to penetrate
ASEAN market.
