tended use. Jointless laying is not recommended, whereas laying with a minimum joint 2-3mm is
recommended (this type of laying enable greater grip by the jointing material on the tile sides,
greater absorption and compensation of any substrate movements). In order to use epoxy grouts,
additions of resin or similar, we recommend to perform a true preparatory cleaning test. For
better appearance, we suggest using grouts in a shape matching the color of the tile in order to
reduce contrast, especially for lapped and rectified products. After having grouted the porcelain
stoneware tiles, the excessive grout must be immediately and carefully removed using a sponge
              with abundant water.

              POST INSTALLATION CLEANING

Post installation cleaning is mandatory after installation. Inadequate of late removal of the grouting
used on the joints can leave marks difficult to remove and create a cement film on the floor that
can absorb all types of dirt, thus giving the impression that it is the material that has become dirty. To
remove cement based grout, wash the floor with the water & buffered acid solution (for
percentage of water/acid refer to that indicated on the package). Leave the product to work
on the wet floor, ensuring that it does not dry, and rub it with colorless rags, then rinse it using
abundant water, to ensure that the floor is free from any detergent residues. Repeat the
operation if necessary. We recommend to perform a preliminary wash on a sample surface of a
few square meters; if the test is successful the entire surface can be cleaned.

              We recommend the following products
              • Deterdek – Fila Industria chimica – www.filachim.com
              • Delta Plus – Kerakoll – www.kerakoll.com
              • Keranet – Mapei – www.mapei.it
              • Disycott – Faber – www.faberchimica.com
              • Service Acido – Geal – www.geal-chim.it

Once above-mentioned cleaning has been performed, use detergents to carry out a basic or
alkaline washing. This is because the acid wash can leave grease on the floor, which could help
retaining dirt. As alkaline detergents, we recommend the following products
              • Fila PS/87 – Fila
              • Mr. Clean – Protect & Gamble
              • Cif liquid degreaser – Unilever Italy

              ORDINARY MAINTENANCE & DAILY CLEANING

Once the post installation cleaning operation (see previous section) has been carried out, for
a proper ordinary maintenance of ceramic surfaces use detergents or greases diluted in hot
water, always following the indication on the packages. Always dry and rinse the floor to remove
dirt and prevent accumulation (layers) of line, detergent and dirt residuals. For this purpose, we
recommend the following products: Fila cleaner – File, Mr. Clean – Procter & Gamble, CIf liquid
degreaser – Unilever Italy, Bref professional – Henkel, Ajax multi-purpose – Colgate Palmolive,
              Glassex degreaser – Reckitt Benckiser.

Do not use waxes, soaps, impregnating products and various treatment (water and oil
purpose – repellent) on the porcelain stoneware product, as they are not necessary. Marketed
detergents can contain waxes and polished agents, which can deposit bright patinas on the
