003 Salisbury Training Sessions
Western Aquatic Swimming Club has engaged with Salisbury Swimming Center to hold training sessions. Salisbury’s Pool gives our swimmers the opportunity to train in a 50m Pool over the long course season and all WASC members are encouraged to attend these training sessions.
The benefit to swimmers is substantial with the larger pool requiring more strokes to complete the same distances than in a 25m pool. This aids in the building of the swimmers stamina in competing in a 50m pool.
The cost of these training sessions is to $5 per swimmer, which has been subsidised by WASC.
These training sessions are held every Saturday morning from 6:30am unless a Targeted meet is scheduled.
Salisbury training sessions consist of a 30 min dry land session followed by a 2hr pool session. Normal training equipment is required as well as runners and skipping rope.
No Salisbury Training on:
• Nov 9th - Division 1 Meet
• Dec 14th - Division 1 Meet
• Jan 18th - State LC Champs
• Jan 25th - Open Water States • Feb 15th - Vitor / Renmark
• Feb 22nd - Division 1 Meet
• Mar 14th - Division 1 Meet
