The national law firm, Stephensons has been named as a leader in peo- ple management practice globally, having been shortlisted in the ‘Excel- lence in Social Responsi- bility’ at the annual Investors in People Awards.
The Awards celebrate the best people management practices amongst Investors in People accredited busi- nesses. Winners will be an- nounced at the awards ceremony and dinner at Old Billingsgate, London, on 23 November 2017.
The 12 Awards categories recognise the organisations
that have achieved the highest standards. There are a range of Awards cate- gories, focusing on the main elements of what it means to be an Investor in People. The Awards provide the op- portunity to benchmark against high performing or- ganisations globally.

Brabners promotes 10 across North West
Commercial law firm Brab- ners has promoted 10 of its lawyers across its Man- chester, Liverpool and Preston offices.
The appointments include two new promotions to partner – Andrew Rogers and Russel Forward.
Property litigation lawyer Andrew joined the firm’s Liverpool office in 2016 from DWF. He advises occu- piers, landlords, investment funds, local authorities and offshore investors and has extensive experience of dealing with litigation in the High Court.
Russel specialises in real es- tate finance and restructur- ing. He advises banks,
insolvency practitioners, in- stitutional lenders and bridging finance providers. He qualified in 2004 and joined Brabners in 2014 to head up the real estate fi- nance and restructuring team.
Meanwhile, the firm has also promoted two lawyers to senior associate – Han- nah Carter in litigation and Joanne Radcliff in family.
The final six promotions are to associate – Alex Watson and Brendan McAleese in employment, Daniel Hay- hurst, David Seddon and James Petts in corporate and Oliver Andrews in litiga- tion.
