Lawrence D. Newberry III, age 58, lifetime                   Terrance Alan Ostaff
                       resident of Medina, passed away Thursday, April 15,          Born 30 Aug 1950 Medina Ohio,

                       remembered for his great sense of humor. He was a
                       wonderful son, brother, cousin, and friend. In his high
                       school years, Larry was a skilled drummer who had a
                       passion for 60s and 70s music, which he played in his
                       own garage band. He enjoyed traveling, especially to
                       the San Francisco Bay area to visit family and make his
         traditional walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. He was an avid Ohio State
         football and local sports fan.

         He graduated from Medina High School in 1970 and The Ohio State
         University in 1974 with a degree in Communications. Larry worked as a     William Ralph                  William
         sewer inspector for the Medina County Sanitary Engineer’s office, retiring                                Gary
         after 36 years. He was an important member of the Medina City Special       Rogers Jr.                 Richardson
         Police for 25 years and was very active in the March of Dimes. He was the
         life partner of Nancy Lightner of Hinckley.



                        Arvid Daniel Nord III passed away surrounded by his family on July 18, 2020. Arvid is survived by his wife and soul mate, Renee;
                        his son Mitch and wife Cheryl; his son Campy, and his grandchildren Keira and Carter. Arvid loved the beach, spending time with his
                        hairy four-legged girls Maggie and Ginger (golden retrievers), BBQing in the backyard with family, and all things sports. He was a proud
                        graduate of The Ohio State University but his greatest sources of passion and pride were that of his sons and grandchildren. Arvid
                        touched the lives of so many and will be remembered for his larger than life personality, quick wit, sense of humor, and above all the
                        way he fiercely loved his family and friends. Everyone who remembers him is asked to celebrate Arvid’s life in their own way, raising a
                        glass of their favorite drink in his memory, a big smile on their face, surrounded by those they love most .




                        Dennis G. Poorman, 65, of Austin, Texas died Sunday morning, April 8, 2018 at his home. He was born July 11, 1952 in Medina,
                        Ohio, a son of the late Raymond T. Poorman and Alice Dreher Poorman. Dennis grew up Medina, Ohio, and graduated in 1970 from
                        Medina Senior High School. During his high school years he formed a band with a few classmates and went on to win the “Battle of the
                        Bands” at Medina Senior High. Upon graduation from high school he enlisted in the US Navy, eventually serving on the USS Cook, earn-
                        ing an honorable discharge.

                        In 1978 Dennis travelled to Texas to visit with a close friend who introduced him to Carol Wiese, who would become his wife on June
                        30, 1979, after he had relocated to Texas. Dennis spent his life working in the electronic and computer industry working for companies
                        and at one time owning his own successful business, Poorman Electronics. In the mid 90’s Dennis was diagnosed with Primary Progres-
                        sive MS, a debilitating disease that would prove to be a challenge for the rest of his life. Despite this diagnosis, he kept a positive atti-
                        tude and always felt there were others who had it worse than he did. In 2014 he spent an extended visit with his mother, brother and
          his family in Hopewell, Ohio. Dennis was an expert in confectionary delights and always loved a good milkshake. His final years were enjoyed living with
          his wife along with his daughter Ashley, son-in-law Arris, and his new granddaughter Arria.



                       Robert "Bob" Rawlings, 61, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013. He was born February 5, 1952, in Newark, New Jersey to Robert
                       F. and Alvina (Bonnie) Rawlings. Bob moved to Highlands County from Orlando in 2000 and was employed by South Florida State Col-
                       lege in the maintenance department. Running had been a part of his life since his high school track team with Medina High School in
                       Ohio. At the time of his death, he was competing in a 5k race. He also was a member of the Sports Car Club of America.

                       He was an avid fan of all motor sports and football, especially his beloved Cleveland Browns. Bob is survived by his wife DeeEtta
                       (Pinner) Rawlings; daughters Dawn Rawlings of Berea, Ohio and Jacquelyn Rawlings Brannen (William) and grandson Quintum of Sara-
                       sota, Florida; mother Alvina (Bonnie) Rawlings and sister Jacquelyn Rawlings of Lake Placid, FL; as well as nieces and nephews. He was
                       preceded in death by his father, Robert F. Rawlings. Bob Rawlings, who enjoyed life to its fullest, will be greatly missed by all who knew
                       him.


                       Paul Dwane Savage Jr., 68, died April 26, 2019 after a lengthy and hard fought illness. He was born on June 13, 1950 in
                       Cleveland to the late Paul Dwane Savage Sr. and Bernadine (nee Kennedy) Savage. He was an avid roller skater in his teen years, and
                       was a skate guard at Medina Skateland as well as a competitor in Roller Skate Dancing. He graduated from Medina High School with a
                       Drafting Certificate of Achievement as part of the school's Diversified Vocational Training Program, working at Formrite Tube Co. in
                       Medina. He later went to Babcock & Wilcox in Barberton where he worked for 19 years.  Switching  vocations, he earned his CDL license
                       and worked for the Graves Lumber Co. until going back to work in drafting at Ebner Furnace and First Energy.

                       One of his favorite jobs was at Domino's Pizza in Wadsworth where he was a deliverer during lunch time. He loved meeting new people
                       and enjoyed the people he met the past few years at Marian's Closet in Wadsworth . He is survived by his loving wife, Lenora Jean (nee
                       Hutchinson) Savage; two sons, Christopher (Linda) and Kevin; and other family.

                        Jack David Shrimplin, Jr., Born on February 5, 1952,  died May 28, 1979 at the age of 27, of State College, Pa., a farm accident.
                        He was graduated from Medina High School, Ohio State University, and Penn State University.  He spent two years in the Peace Corps
                        in Tunisia.
