Letter to the Members of IPTP
These are odd challenging times for humankind, which urge us to implement extraordinary measures and fully use our expertise and networks, to support each of our fellow citizens in the daily struggle with a most colossal enemy of our societies.
In response to the call to action by the United Nations to tackle the many social and economic dimensions of this crisis, the GCTP through the IPTP
Each IPTP committee will work on different SDGs :
• Women and Youth Committee GOAL 5: Gender Equality GOAL 10: Reduced Inequality
• Sustainable Development committee
GOAL 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
GOAL 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
GOAL 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
GOAL 13: Climate Action
• Cultivating Peace committee GOAL 16: Peace and Justice Strong Institution
• International Relations committee
GOAL 17: Partnerships to achieve the Goal
• General Assembly – Academic Perspective
GOAL 4: Quality Education
and its different Committees can work on developing an action plan for the respective SDG goals that are most targeted by the developments with the spread of COVID-19.I am sending you proposed themes of action, which can be used to prepare a short report by all of the Committees of the IPTP. Prof. Dr. Zoran Ilievski is ready to work with the Chairpersons of each of the Committees in this task, while Prof. Dr. Basma El Zein is ready to work with Your Excellencies on the topic of challenges and opportunities in education, especially academia imposed by the new situation.
