Finally, she pushed a few leafy carrot tops through the gaps in the wooden slats. “Although I expect you’re quite full now – after all the things you’ve eaten!” she told the rabbit.
Goldie twitched her nose and scampered up and down. Bea sighed with relief. The little rabbit was safe at last. She crouched down beside the crate and watched Goldie for a while. The bunny nibbled a carrot top before lying down on the straw.
Bea jumped up and dusted off her hands. Goldie seemed really happy in her hutch and now she had a special sleepover to get ready for!
