Page 19 - Everything You Know About Dinosaurs is Wrong

POSTOSUCHUS probably moved around on its two back legs. It was over 4 metres
long and would have hunted aetosaurs and maybe even early dinosaurs.
The closely related SAUROSUCHUS was even bigger and may have reached a huge length of 8 metres from tip to tail.
Because all of these other animals were already living on Earth, it was difficult for early dinosaurs to find their place. During the first half of the Triassic period, dinosaurs would have hidden in the shadows of the rauisuchids.
Dinosaurs finally got their lucky break after a terrible mass extinction about 220 million years ago and then another just over 201 million years ago, from which the crocodile-like archosaurs found it too difficult to recover.
With the fearsome poposaurs, the hungry aetosaurs and the terrifying rauisuchids out of the picture, dinosaurs were able to step into the footprints they left behind!
The most feared group of non-dinosaurs of the Triassic period would have been the rauisuchids. R A U I S U C H U S was a huge, swift predator with an enormous, deep skull packed with teeth and muscle.
