Page 24 - Everything You Know About Dinosaurs is Wrong
P. 24

 All dinosaurs were enormous
GIRAFFATITAN, TYRANNOSAURUS, DREADNOUGHTUS . . . although a lot of dinosaurs you can see in museums were gigantic, many of them were much, M U C H smaller.
Many small dinosaurs lived at the start of the Age of the Dinosaurs, but some dinky dinosaurs lived during the Cretaceous period, like the two-legged ornithopod H AYA .
But just how small is ‘small’?
JINFENGOPTERYX was a fast, feathered theropod related to STENONYCHOSAURUS and may have been a herbivore (or at least we know it ate seeds from time to time).
GASPARINISAURA was a small animal related to I G U A N O D O N that was between 1 to 2 metres long, which was small in comparison to its relatives.
The stubby-armed alvarezsaurid dinosaurs were very small. S H U V U U I A and PARVICURSOR from Mongolia were tiny, speedy theropods. You’d need six SHUVUUIA just to balance one bag of sugar!
  DIno fact!

The smallest dinosaur footprints ever found are TINY – barely
1 centimetre long. They were found in Korea and were made by raptor-like dinosaurs.
