Colosseum Combat
Gladiator fights are held in a big arena called the Colosseum, where thousands of Romans come to watch. Gladiators are trained to fight each other to entertain the cheering crowd, and the winners are offered flowers.
Sometimes fights include animals, such as lions, tigers, and bears. The floor of the Colosseum can also be flooded so that gladiators have to fight over water.
