POLICY:
It is the policy of the Light of Truth Center, Inc.to maintain a diverse, inclusive, and equitable behavioral health organization where everyone, participants, staff and stakeholders are valued and respected. LTC is committed to an all-inclusive approach to services. LTC provides equal care, equal treatment and equal opportunity. LTC provides services for everyone regardless of culture, age, gender, sexual orientation, spiritual beliefs, socioeconomic status, language and any other pertinent factors. This policy will be reviewed annually for relevance and updated as required.
PROCEDURES
. Ensure diversity awareness, inclusion, and equity is connected to our mission and critical to ensure the well-being of participants, staff and the communities we serve.
. Pursue cultural awareness throughout our organization by creating substantive learning opportunities.
. Maintain an inclusive environment with equitable services and opportunity for all.
. Support broad-level thinking about how systemic inequities impact our organization’s work,
and how best to address that in a way that is consistent with our mission.
. Practice and encourage transparent communication in all interactions.
. Commit time and resources to expand more diverse leadership within our board, staff,
volunteers, and advisory bodies.
. Lead with love, respect and tolerance. We expect everyone to embrace a love-based
leadership concept and to express it in all aspects of the organization.
. Develop and present sessions on diversity, inclusion, and equity to provide information and
resources internally to staff, volunteers and board members.
. Develop a system for being more intentional and conscious of bias during the service, hiring,
promoting, or evaluating process. Train our hiring team on equitable practices.
