ROUND AND ABOUT MILLHOUSES AND ABBEYDALE ROAD
South She eld has become an increasingly popular location in recent years, with Millhouses and the Abbeydale Road area gaining more and more interest from home buyers and renters alike.
With wonderful schools, an abundance of top notch restaurants and bars, and plenty of places to explore, the area has become a great alternative to the city centre.
In this issue, we take a look at a few of the things that make Millhouses and Abbeydale Road so special.
WHERE TO EAT
La Mama: O ering a real taste of Latin America, La Mama serves up a wide range of tapas dishes in a warm and friendly atmosphere. For a truly authentic experience, La Mama host live Latin jazz evenings on a regular basis – the perfect accompaniment to your dining experience.
We highly recommend the Chorizo a la Sidra – chorizo cooked with onions and apple cider – you won’t regret it.
Bessie’s Café
Bessie’s Café: Bessie’s is the perfect place to go for brunch on a lazy Sunday morning. It’s a small café and can be easy to miss but it’s situated directly opposite our Millhouses o ce! Serving up a nice variety of breakfasts, and o ering plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options, this lovely café is sure to set you up for
the rest of the day. Be sure to try the blueberry pancakes – they’re heavenly!
WHERE TO SOCIALISE
Broad eld: The Broad eld Ale House has that delightfully cosy pub feel, while o ering much more than just
a pint of bitter and a bag of crisps. Broad eld stock the delectable She eld Dry Gin, a range of craft ales from True North Brew Company, as well as a single malt whisky from every working distillery in Scotland! The hearty Gastro pub menu is also sure to whet your appetite – handy for when your ‘quick pint’ lasts longer than anticipated.
