      Pioneering the way in town-centre living
   The old NE Derbyshire District Council offices are to become retirement living accommodation in the town centre.
Chesterfield is leading the way when it comes to transforming the high street into a vibrant place to live - as well as to go shopping.
A number of developments are converting existing build- ings and sites into new places to live, right in the heart of the town.
McCarthy and Stone are working on a scheme which will see the former North East Derbyshire District Coun- cil’s former headquarters on Saltergate demolished and replaced with 64 retirement homes. The development aims to provide much-need- ed homes for older people in a central location
