GETTING YOUR PROPERTY READY FOR VIEWINGS
 WRITTEN BY
Take a look at these tips and tricks
to help you increase your property’s selling potential and ultimately get you moving up the property ladder as soon as possible.
1. GET DRIVE-BY READY
One of the first things to think about
is the outside of your property. We are not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but the reality is that most buyers like to drive-by any properties that they are interested in first before going through the process of booking a viewing.
Therefore, it is essential to ensure the front of your property looks tidy and inviting, so buyers want to see more. Consider trimming your hedges and maybe buying a few hanging baskets. If necessary, give the front door, and your window frames a new lick of paint.
2. HAVE A GOOD DE-CLUTTER
Preparing for viewings is the perfect opportunity to have a clear out. You
might have grown quite attached
to all the little knick-knacks you’ve acquired over the years, but too many ornaments and decorations can make a house look cluttered. Ask yourself what you need. After all, the less you need to pack come moving day the better.

Natural light is one of the most sought-after characteristics in a property, so you should endeavour to have as much light flooding into the room as possible. It’s also a good idea to keep any family photographs on display to a minimum, as this will help viewers imagine the property as their own.
3. MAKE YOURSELF PRESENTABLE
When it comes to viewing day, it’s important to take pride in your own appearance, as well as that of your property. Ensure that you are well- dressed, friendly and approachable. Guide viewers around the house, but don’t escort them. Keep things

When you make the decision to put your property up for sale, it’s our job as estate agents to generate as many viewings as possible. Converting the viewings to offers is what every vendor wants, and you can play an essential part in this process.
Making sure your property looks its absolute best and spotless for those all-important viewings really can make all the difference – but there is more to it than just cleanliness.
We often find that the best strategy is to imagine your property as a blank canvas. It’s no longer your home, but somewhere that someone else can transform into their own little paradise.
Everything should be minimalistic so that viewers can imagine where they might kick back on the sofa or host their dinner parties.
