“Care for one another and to share the good gifts that we have been given to ease the suffering of those around us,” are wise words from Grace Phelps used to inspired me and many others to be in service to those less fortunate. These words are something that I try to put into action and inspire others to do also.

“Anything worth having in life, does not come easy” is common quote my dad tells me when I am feeling overwhelmed. It is true and reminds me to work hard even when I feel weary.

Miss Peggy Holden Armstrong, my dance teacher, who has over a 70 year career in dance. She has faced many obstacles and worked hard to support her family. She has influenced the dancing world by working with Gus Giordano to develop jazz and has taught thousands of dancers in the mid-south. She still continues her career out of the love of dance, her dancers, and her amazing granddaughter, Lauren.
