Acceptable IT Use Agreement / eSafety Rules

Computing or Information Technology (IT) includes using the internet, email and mobile technologies. This
area of life has become an important part of learning in our school, and continues to grow and develop.

Our internet is provided via Exa and has a built in filtering system that restricts access to sites containing
inappropriate material. However, no system is perfect. We are always mindful of the risks the potential
problems of using IT and have eSafety built into our Computing Curriculum.

However, as we expect all children to be safe and responsible when using any IT we would like you to, please,
read and discuss the eSafety rules (found in the Appendix – Acceptable Use of IT agreement – form) with
your child and return the slip at the bottom of that page. If you have any concerns or would like any
explanation, please contact Mr Wilson.

In this ever changing world of technology please take care to ensure that appropriate systems are in place
at home to protect and support your child/ren. We will share information to help you with this where ever
possible and please feel free to discuss any concerns you have with us.
