January Smart Phone Tip
By Kathi Weinheimer, from the Celebrate Photography Club
Have you ever wanted to take an action shot of your grandchildren
and been disappointed that you didn’t capture the perfect moment?
Today, iPhones and Samsung Galaxy phones have the capability to
take photo “bursts” just so you won’t miss that shot. (For other An-
droid phones, please check your manual.) All you need to do is hold
down the shutter button and don’t release until the moment has
passed. Your cell phone camera will take multiple photos per second
until you release your finger.
Later you can open up the thumbnail picture, tap “Select” at the bottom
of the screen, see all the pictures that were taken, and select only
those you want to keep. For those with the new iPhone 11, burst
mode is activated by dragging the shutter button to the left and holding
it until you’re finished.
The Celebrate Photography Club meets the first Wednesday of every
month at 7:00 pm in the Rappahannock Room. More tips are availa-
ble on the Club’s webpage on the Celebrate community website.
