Scholarship Service
The University offers several scholarships and assistance programs to deserving students to cultivate
academic excellence and facilitate access to quality education. Selection of grantees is in accordance to the set
policies andguidelines of sponsoring agencies.
The Scholarship Unit of the Office of Student Services takes charge of processing and monitoring of all
scholarshipsandgrants.Scholarshipandgrantsareclassifiedasto: University- sponsored;Government-sponsoredand
non-government sponsored.
UNIVERSITYSPONSOREDSCHOLARSHIP
a.EntranceScholarship. Thisis giventoentering freshmanwhograduatedasvaledictorianor salutatorian of aclass,
from apublic orprivatehigh school.It is availedonly for onesemester.
b.University Scholarship. Thisis given to aregular student who obtained a GWAof 1.5 or above at theendof a
regularterm andwhocarries theprescribedmaximum academicloadfor theterm.
c.College Scholarship. This is given to aregular student whoobtained aGWAof 1.75 or above at theendof aregular
term andwhocarriestheprescribedmaximum academic load for theterm.
d.GraduateScholarship. This is given to an entering graduate student who graduated with honors in his/her
baccalaureate degree andwhomaintains aGWAof 1.25orhighereachsemester.
e.DevelopmentalProgramScholarship(Agricultureandotherrelatedprograms)-Thisis extendedtostudentswho
enroll as freshmen in courses such as BS in Agriculture, BS Animal Husbandry, BS Agribusiness, BS Agricultural
Engineering,BSForestry,BachelorofAgricultural Technology, BSFisheriesandDiploma inAgricultural Technology.
Thestudentsshall enroll the prescribed academic load per semester, andmust not have failing or incomplete
grades in preceding semester.
