ParaISU is a recognized LGBTQ student
organization of Isabela State University –
Echague Campus which was established in 2016
with different advocacies on Gender Equality.

In an effort to be one fighting gender inequality ,
the ParaISU Student Organization in partnership
with Gender and Development and Office of
Student Services celebrates LGBTQ Month with
the theme “Safe Space for Everyone” on May 2-3,
2019. The activity aims at promoting awareness
on the campaign of LGBTQ through seminars on

Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and
Expression, HIV and AIDS awareness, tree
planting activity, sports activities, and showcasing
of talents and intellectual capacity.

The members of LGBTQ of Isabela State

University together with the faculty and staff and
supporters of LGBTQ march as one in the
celebration of LGBTQ in the University to call for
their rights.

Rainbow flags, unicorn headbands, and colorful
placards were worn and waved during the parade
that started in the main gate to ISU Gymnasium.

After the parade, the candidates for Queen ISU
2019 talked on their different environmental

advocacy as a member of LGBTQ.
