Message from Chief Executive Officer and President of Georgetown American University

Dear Students,

This uncertain time has brought new challenges. We are forced to rethink how to leverage
technology and physical classroom space design in a way that elevates both platforms to create
a safe learning environment that will enhance learning outcomes without compromising quality.
Our main priority is to welcome some students and faculty back to an environment that keeps
them as safe as possible. While we all may not be able to be in the same space at the same time,
our use of virtual and other platforms will ensure that our goals and objectives are achieved in
the safest possible way.

The new academic year will be challenging as we adapt to the needed changes. We seek your corporation and understanding
that all measures implemented are done in the best interest of all stakeholders.

You must spend some time reviewing this handbook. It is a tool to help you navigate through the GAU experience. I urge you
to pay close attention to the Student Code of Conduct. It serves as a reminder of the qualities that we, as a community, expect
every GAU student to exhibit. Learning is more than what you experience in the classroom. Not only am I expecting you to
perform at your highest level academically, but I also hope you have a personal commitment to your holistic development.

Everything will look and feel very different in this academic year. I, however, have a personal commitment to make
Georgetown American University a high-quality University. My commitment, along with yours, will lead us to great success,
as we overcome all challenges this uncertain period brings.
