In today’s ambiguous, multi-stakeholder world, leaders have to admit that they don’t know it all and be able to engage all key players to create new solutions that work for all concerned. We all have many conversations daily, but what we need are conversations that matter.
Whether you’re working in the private, public or not-for-profit sectors, you’re likely dealing with problems that cross sectors and involve a large number of parties, each with their own agendas. There are no easy answers and the situations are growing more intricate every day. Rarely does one person understand all the perspectives and issues enough to create solutions that work for everyone. Instead, you need to bring all the key players together to admit that nobody has the answer alone, but that perhaps together they can create a new solution that works for everyone.
This is why the Art of Co-Creative Leadership and hosting strategic conversations is so critical today and in our emerging world.
