Why Renewal?
Soul care for soul-carers — A fruitful servant has been fruitfully served.
After 8 years of serving on the field in ministry, I have seen many good works, amazing ministries with servants desiring to be faithful to the call to bring the gospel to the world. I have also seen many servants burn out, turn away, divorce, medicate, and struggle to serve faithfully on the field without being battered by the evil one.
I hear from brothers and sisters all the time, ones willing to bring Kingdom Renewal to this world, but struggling to be resilient in ministry. Renewal is the humble ministry in the back, the supporting role. We are the blockers for the running backs, the medics for the soldiers on the frontlines. We, Renewal, do mission by making sure mission moves forward.
“If only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”
— Acts 20:24.
The fact is, Jesus has paved the way for our Victory march when He laid His life down for us, took the bullet we deserved, and made us co-heirs, “co-captains” of the team marching down the field to the final Day, when He will make “all things new.” The fact is, we are all serving on the frontlines, making our way, and “the gates of hell will not prevail” against our advance. I just want to be one of the first to celebrate our Victory at the gates. Do you?

NEW ROLE. OLD HEART.
This is a new role for me, but it’s also an old passion that’s been growing for a while now. God has been cultivating in me a heart for those who wish to serve, vocational and otherwise. I desire that for them too, and for their ministry to not only be fruitful, but sustainable. After years of serving on the field, I’m confident that I am now ready and equipped to make sure those sent to the field, stay on the field, and those we don’t, stay vigilant, and for us who do not serve in vocational ministry at all, understand well the Kingdom Curiosity necessary to love our neighbours as ourselves and care for the shepherds God has provided to care for us.
