3CX V15 was released in July 2016 and created quite an impact in the Uni ed Communications industry. It’s the rst real zero admin PBX with ongoing maintenance reduced to almost nothing and many aspects of running a PBX being automated, while at the same time allowing companies to retain full control of their phone system.
In addition to the zero admin of V15, the security has also been notched up - raising the bar and setting a new standard in PBX security. How was this accomplished? Automatic generation and management of SSL certi cates, phones are provisioned via HTTPS, all connections to client and console are done via SSL - earning 3CX an A+ rating from SSL lab. at’s not all, voice tra c encryption is done via SRTP, tra c to clients and via SBC is encrypted as well as detection and auto blacklisting of SIP attack tools.
