UNE-EN ISO 14001 international standard

It is the reference standard for the implementation of a
Management System that helps to control the environmental
aspects that may arise during business activity.

Velilla Group complies with this standard by establishing
commitments through proactive decisions aimed at protecting the
environment against possible deterioration and degradation.

With the identification and management of risks achieved with this
standard, both risk prevention and environmental protection are
taken into account, following the legal regulations and the socio-
                                               economic needs required for compliance.

In addition, a plan is established setting targets for continuous
improvement, aimed at further reducing the environmental impact in all
                                               processes.

                                               GOTS

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is an internationally
recognised standard that ensures care and respect for the
environment and workers along the entire textile production and
                                               supply chain.

The GOTS approach encompasses not only the cultivation of
organic fibres, but also the care and respect for the environment as
well as the reduction of environmental impact during all processes
involved. This includes everything from cultivation to delivery of
the garment to the customer, as well as improving the working
conditions of all those involved in the garment manufacturing
                                               process.

The GOTS standard goes beyond the adoption of general principles
by companies. Compliance requires the implementation of specific
measures such as: ecological farming practices, elimination of
banned chemicals, reduction of consumption, waste and dumping,
establishment of fair wages, among many others.

Do you know about Velilla EcoMade?
Within our Green Project programme, we also promote
initiatives that seek to develop garments that are more
respectful of the environment and society. This is how our
                                               EcoMade series came about.

The manufacturing process for our EcoMade models is more
sustainable, as it uses 70% less water than conventional
production, and also transforms waste into useful energy.
Uniformity with the same robustness and comfort, but with less
impact on the planet. Discover our EcoMade series on pages
