                            DGPS STUDENTS QUALIFY AS FINALISTS IN THE PROJECT DESIGN SPACE COMPETITION 2020

          Two DGPS teams qualified as finalists in the Project Design Space Competition organised by DIDI. The competition featured 4000 students from
          across the UAE. It was a collaborative effort by teachers and students from various departments such as Art, IT, Commerce, Env. Management,
          Science and Psychology. The competition gave students the opportunity to explore innovative ideas and find solutions to the briefs given by clients
          such as Dubai Festival City Mall, Nike, RAK Bank, Lego Middle East and Emirates Nature - WWF. As many as 16 teams comprising 57 students
          took part in the after-school sessions. A three-minute video was documented that included ideating and pitching of the prototype.

             INNOVATION FROM WASTE COMPETITION


                                                      DGPS  has  always  encouraged  and  aimed  at  creating
                                                      awareness on the importance of reducing waste and
                                                      contributing towards sustainability among students as well
                                                      as faculty members.

                                                      The enthusiastic students of Years 4-6 participated in the
                                                      Innovation from  Waste competition organised by Dubai
                                                      Chamber of Commerce.

                                                      The contest encouraged students to make the most out of
                                                      waste materials, unused items and neglected objects to
                                                      produce works of art and thus promote environmental
                                                      awareness in the community. The judges from the Centre
                                                      visited the school on the morning of 20  November and
                                                                                                  th
                                                      were very impressed and appreciative of the displays
                                                      created by the students.
