Leveraging Up!

really reach outside your responsibilities. If that sounds familiar, I’m
looking right at you today! Your personality is the most prone to

working endlessly, ever reaching, never feeling like you have done

enough. It’s a wonderful attitude, no doubt about it, but you are most
likely to forget to let yourself rest and revive.

Regardless of what type of personality you have, the most important

thing you can do for yourself is to set yourself up for success. Plan

ahead. This doesn’t need to be an arduous task, and in fact, it doesn’t
even need to take a long time. Invest 30 minutes to an hour at the

beginning of the week to lay out your game plan. List out your tasks,
mark those that are high priority. From there, separate them into days

        — don’t put it on yourself to accomplish EVERYTHING in one day.

Even if it is possible, spread your tasks out from each other, so your
brain doesn’t begin nail-biting before you’ve even walked in the door

        at 8:00am on Monday.

Once you have everything assigned to different days, look and see
if you need to gather materials, print out PDFs, or prepare in any way

for each task. You can do this with personal tasks and errands that

need to get done as well. After you see everything laid out neatly in
front of you, breathe a well-deserved sigh of relief. Take note of how

your stress levels will be a little lower throughout the week.
