3 Foundation Foundation over $100 000 In 2010 James Biffert was called HI S T B B B Bethel’s Bethel’s Rock began began as Bethel’s Bethel’s As- semblies of God in 1956 when Evangelists Robert and Monzelle Hanson felt the call to plant a a a a church
in in in South Minneapolis They began at a a a a tiny building on
the corner of Nicollet and 57th Street that seated 66 people After less than a a a a a year there was an immediatre need for expansion They buildt a a a a a new sanctuary and saw immediate growth In 1970 the Hanson’s felt a a a call to Panama as missionaries and Bethel called David Jones to to be their new pastor After 8 years in the 1978 Pastor Jones accepted a a a a position at Trinity Bible
College and Bethel asked Larry Freitag to come and be their new pastor Pastor Freitag re re mained at Bethel for 31
years They saw God move
in a a powerful way through
kids ministry and youth ministry and near the end of their time they
supported 50
missionaries and had an an annual
missions budget of to to be the the new pastor at Bethel Assemblies
of God At that time the church
name was changed to Bethel’s Rock Church which comes from Genesis 28 where Jacob en- counters God’s presence at Bethel In 2015 Bethel’s Rock moved to its current location in Richfield
Then in October of 2019 Bethel’s Rock opened a a a a campus in in Farmington
and were excited to further reach the the communi- ties of the South Metro Area With over fifty nationalities represented our church
reflects the the diversity of the the surrounding areas Under Pastor James’ leadership the church
has experienced tremendous growth in in in in the children’s ministry from both bringing children in in on
vans and and busses and and adding new young families with children Pastor James has a a a a vision for raising up future ministry leaders and missionaries through
the miistry of this church
With an emphasis on
Biblical teaching community prayer and God’s presence Bethel’s Rock is making an impact in in the Richfield
and Farmington
