Walking Aids
Jane (not her real name) is 3 years old and she has West Syndrome. She spends
approximat ely 30 minut es in t he walker a day, f or now . (We are st ill working on
st rengt hening her legs). We find it ’s very easy t o get her in and out of t he walker.
The biggest change t he walker has made f or Jane is t hat she is more mobile now;
she can cross t he room wit h ease, which is huge f or us, considering she never
had much int erest in rolling or crawling. Jane also enjoys being upright at t he
same level as her sist er when she’s running around. The walker will also be a
great benefit f or Jane next year when she st art s kindy.
