“Yes, I do,” MaryCatherine returned and quoted,
“I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.” The truly exciting thing, Brittany, is that we discovered that the three women who rescued me are from the States, here to work with a Chris- tian couple in Kathmandu who direct two children’s homes. And tomorrow, we’re going to meet the cou- ple. Dad and I will find one of the churches in the area pastored by Christians who all grew up in the same children’s home.”
“So these ladies came all that way for just a short visit?” Brittany asked.
“Well, yes, but they also provide sessions for Ne- pali adults who teach children in their church family what it means to walk with Jesus. You know, the Ne- pali people are brave. The government gives free- dom to be Christian, but doesn’t permit the Chris- tians to convince others to become Christians.”
“I’ll add that to my prayer list for you, MC. Who’d have thought my quirky little sister would turn out to be such an adventurer? An ambassador, actually. Anyway, it must be past your bedtime. Let’s sign off until we meet again with Mom and Dad.”
The sisters said a few goodnights, shut down their computers and put them away. MaryCatherine was tired and ready for bedtime prayers. “May you be exalted, Father in heaven ... in this land, and in our
