2021 Spirit Award Winner
DALE SAUER HOMES' UNIQUE APPROACH TO CLIENT RELATIONS BUILDS SUCCESS
This month we want to showcase our 2021 Spirit Award winner, Dale Sauer Homes. Dale Sauer has been a loyal member of the Greater San Antonio Builders Association for over three decades. Dale currently serves on the GSABA Executive Committee, he has participated in, and built in numerous Parade of HomesTM and he was elected as a Life Delegate to the GSABA Board of Directors in 2018.
Dale Sauer Homes was honored in 2021 with the prestigiousSpiritAward. Thiscovetedawardgoestoone Builder who does the highest percentage of their business with GSABA members. GSABA’s motto is Do Business with a Member and Dale lives up to GSABA’s motto!
Dale Sauer Homes was recently honored with the 2022 Single-Family Builder of the Year Award for their commitment and service to the Association and to the greater San Antonio community. We want to brag a bit about Dale and Debbie Sauer, recognize and thank them for their commitment to our industry.
As a San Antonio native, Dale returned home in 1980 after serving in the 82nd Airborne for three years. He started working in the aviation business, but due to layoffs and changes in the industry, he decided to seek an opportunity with Acme Brick as a sales representative, where he stayed for five years building relationships with local builders. From there, he moved to Gina Guido Lumber where he learns more about the lumber and home building industries, expanding his overall construction experience. A few years later he was recruited as the VP of Construction for a large custom home builder, where he oversaw construction administration and accounting. Dale took all his knowledge, experience, and relationships from his previous years of experience, and in 1999 started his own custom home building company.
Dale runs his business with his wife and partner, Debbie, under the banner of fairness, honesty, integrity, and accountability. Together, they have shown all these traits and more throughout their career in the home- building industry. They treat their clients, employees, and subcontractors with respect, and they push their partners and subcontractors to perform at the highest levels of accountability while helping them as much as possible. Working hands-on with their clients, they act as the salesperson, superintendent, and business manager. This approach allows Dale and Debbie to stay on top of
