GSABA is on the move, and this month we are focused on membership - it is the lifeblood of the Association! I am thrilled to share that Hollywood Crawford Garage Doors & Openers has stepped up to be our Membership Drive Partner and underwrite our 2022 Membership Rewards Trip in January of 2023.
In fact, it is Hollywood Crawford Garage Doors & Openers 75th anniversary, and I want to brag on Randy Oliver, Doyle Benton, and the entire team. Hollywood-Crawford Door Company was founded in San Antonio in 1947 and is still going strong today. Doyle Benton started installing garage doors at Hollywood-Crawford in 1959. Back then, garage doors were constructed of wood and installed without the help of power tools. Garage door openers were a cutting-edge luxury available only to the very wealthy.
Doyle Benton went from installer to company owner in 1979, and at 86 years old today, Mr. Benton is still the CEO, signing paychecks, helping with the planning, and greeting employees. His son-in-law, Randy Oliver, who we all know and love, is the company president, and he and his wife, Becky, oversee the day-to-day operations. Their sons, Chris and Jonathan, work in the business too.
What a legacy to have three generations working in the family business at one time.
Randy and Hollywood Crawford have been long-time supporters and a valued corporate partner of GSABA. People know Randy for his kind and positive demeanor and his can-do attitude.
Builders rave about Hollywood Crawford’s service, and it all starts with Doyle, Randy, Becky, and the company culture.

The Membership Drive will kick off on November 1st and end on November 28th. Members who recruit 15 new members will win a cruise for two that includes airfare.
Members who recruit eight new members will win a cruise for one and can buy in for one cruise. We will set sail in January 2023!
GSABA staff have incredible prospect lists to work from, and every prospect on the list has received information from GSABA over the past several weeks. We have invited non-members to the Code trainings, the Membership Mixers and sent them the benefits of membership in GSABA, the Texas Association of Builders (TAB), and the National Association of Builders (NAHB) too. We have reached out by email, voice-to-voice, and by direct mail. We had 28 non-members attend

our last code class with the City of San Antonio, and they are on the prospect list too.
Please come and be part of our upcoming drive; you can win a cruise, and don’t forget, we will give away a new car at the GALA on December 1st.
