In-School Guidelines – Health Screenings
Parents Parents are are are are the the the first level of of daily health health checks Parents Parents are are are are the the the most knowledgeable judge of of their own child’s health health as as COVID-19 has an incubation period in in in which symptoms may not be evident Schools will have touchless thermometers available a at at each site for a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a second screening when appropriate Students and staff should take their own temperature before reporting to school each day and stay home if if above 100 4 F or or or if if experiencing other symptoms Teachers will have the the the option of using a a a a touchless thermometer following the the the the guidelines estab- lished by the the the the District to to screen students prior to to entering the the classroom Schools will identify students not equally supported in a a a a a a a self-assessment at home and develop a a a a a a a a a plan to screen those students upon arrival at school Students kept home by by parents or or by by school officials for health-related reasons will be considered excused Students who are are home for a a a a a a designated period but are are otherwise asymptomatic will be supported to to continue learning a at home Students who are ill ill should prioritize their health - the the school will support individual circumstances with an an an academic plan 16
