Title: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI)
Description: With a focus on prevention, CPI trains staff with strategies to intervene at the earliest possible moment, to safely de-escalate students who are in crisis. This training includes the Crisis Development Model and the different staff approaches at each stage. CPI is the only district approved crisis intervention program used in Brevard County for physical intervention. Each school must have a CPI trained team designated by the principal.

Target Audience: All grades and ages. Any Brevard Public School Staff Member.
Cost: free when training is done at ESF. If training is done onsite, books are $18.00 each.
Training Required: An initial training of at least 6 hours the first year, 3-hour refresher for the following years. Time Required for Implementation: varies
