BPS con nues as a state leader for gradua on rates
BPS maintained the highest gradua on rate for the 10 largest districts in Florida for the 2016-17 school year.
Although it dipped slightly, the district’s gradua on rate has remained consistently above the state rate, which reached a 14-year high, according to data from the Florida Department of Educa on.
Many district students went above and beyond expecta ons by simultaneously earning post-secondary degrees. For the 2016-17 school year, 348 students earned Associate of Arts degrees and three earned Associate of Science degrees. Also, 42 percent of district graduates earned a Career and Technical Educa on industry cer cate.
