Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Welcome to Austin for the 2018 League of Historic American Theatres’
2018 Board of Directors Annual Conference. Your board of directors is excited to spend the
next several days with you hearing about successes, learning new tricks
Dana Amendola of the trade and soaking in the sights and sounds of Austin, Texas from
Disney Theatrical Group the heart of the city at our host hotel, the Sheraton Austin Hotel at the
Randy Cohen Capitol.
Americans for the Arts I want to extend an especially warm welcome to those of you attending
Molly Fortune your first ever LHAT conference. We are thrilled to have you join our fold
Newberry Opera House where the conference feels more like a family reunion whose members
Jeffrey W. Gabel enjoy catching up with one another, as well as making new friends
Majestic Theater with smart, fresh ideas and memorable stories ranging from heralded
Becky Hancock successes to unmitigated disasters. All those lessons, whether shared
Historic Tennessee Theatre Foundation over dinner or during one of the educational sessions, are how we all get
Mark Litvin better at doing the work we love in the theatres our communities adore.
