This Year’s Pune IT Cup started with bang on
opening ceremony by the hand of Mr. Shashi
Kate&Mr. Raju Kotwal Sir, after the wonderful
opening ceremony it was a time for some real action
from Champion of Pune IT Cup-2016 “Team TCS”
who has got the opportunity to play the first of the
league match against Citi Corp. the match started
with power pack hitting from Mayank Jasore who
has played shots all over the ground while from
other side Gaurav Singh put the anchor to the
inning by giving maximum strike to Maynak
when Mayank got out TCS was on the score
of 44 where Mr. Mayank score was 39
from 18 balls which include 4 sixes
and 3 fours. After fall of Mayank
Rahul Garg was on ground and
started with boundary but
TCS was plumbed by Ankit Jain

which was tailing in.

TCS inning was played around saleemuddin who
scored steady 56 runs from 46 balls all the other
players chipped in from other side. Running on
Mayank Jasore and Saleemuddin TCS has been able
to score a competitive score of 160 for the loss of five
wicket.
Now was the time for Citi Corp to start their
inning where they needed a run rate of 8 RPO but
it Citi Corp never looked comfortable against the
heavyweight champions of last year, where the
bowler of TCS run throughCiti Corp team,
Both the opener got out cheaply to the TCS captain
Sunil Babar, After which Ankesh Maradia &
Qutubuddin Sheikh are the only players who was
able to reach the double digit score where Ankesh
has tried to score fast in his small cameo of 21 ball
23 the captain Qutubuddin who was in nice touch
in 2016 season was looking off color and was not
able to middle the ball during his painful stay on
ground for 13 runs in 28 balls. Siddharth got the
wicket of both the key players of Citi Corp Ankesh
& Qutubuddin in his wonderful spell, where he has
given away only 14 runs in his quota of 4 overs.
After which Citi corp team was not able to give any
fight and was 100/8 at the end of the match where
TCS has won the match out rightly.
Saleemuddin was the Nimble- I Player of the Match
for his wonderful inning of 56 Runs

CriCket begin
Now As we have gauged the Pitch from
Morning 1st Match we have started second Let the
match between Varitas & Cognizant. As
we all know cognizant was last year’s runner
up so it was always going to be the interesting
encounter between both the teams.
Cognizant won the toss and invited Varitas to bat,
it was a dream start for Rahul Bhat as he has scalped
two wickets in his first spell and given his team an early
advantage, Robin choudhary and Shailesh Sant tried to steady
the inning from there but it was lasted till 5th over where Rakesh
singh got better of Robin Choudhary, Ranvir and Sumit got some
start but was not able to convert them into something which can put
pressure on bowlers and even scoring rate of Shailesh also gone down
as he is seeing wickets falling from other side, hupping and puffing Varitas
Shailesh riched to his 50 but was bowled immediately in search Vs
of big hits, varitas was all out by 19.5 overs at the score of Cognizant
109, target for last year runner up was below par as it was
merely 110 to be scored in 20 over’s and they have got
the good start from both their openers Prathmesh
and Digvijay though prathmesh and Digvijay after
getting good start fails to capitalize and falls
in succession, it was vaibhav who was on
the crease and keeping his same tempo to
the previous seasons he continued to milk the
varitas bowling and boundaries started coming
to him at will it take Cognizant 15.4 overs to chase
down the target at the loss of four wickets
Vaibhav Rajurkar was the Nimble- I Player of the Match for
his wonderful inning of 36 Runs in 26 balls
