Push/Pull
Use the Push/Pull Tool (P) to bring the square into 3D. Select the tool and then click on the square, then move the cursor up. Click again for it to stop. Now type 3’6. we now have a perfect cube. If we want we can keep typing different dimensions until we get the shape right. As long as we do not click anywhere else we can keep adjusting the size. Many tools work the same way.
