On the 20 of December 2016, the national NGO
“Alumni Rwanda Belgium” (ARB) has been created in
Kigali by former Rwandan students that have studied in
Belgian universities and who are now living in Rwanda.
The Embassy of Belgium in Kigali contacted a number of
former students of Belgian universities and facilitated the
creation of the ARB.
The ARB aims at creating professional networking
opportunities between former Rwandan students by
giving them the possibility to meet people who have a
similar experience. It will also promote relationship based
on friendship, socio-economic and cultural exchanges
between Belgians and Rwandans.
The database of alumni is wide and will continue to
expand with the creation of the ARB.
The General Assembly elected the legal representatives of the ARB, Finance Control Organ and a Conflict
Resolution Organ:
Mr. Benjamin Rufagari Seruzamba was elected Legal Representative;
Alternate Legal Representative is Mr. Marcel Nshimiyimana;
Second Alternate Legal Representative and Secretary is Mr. Alphonse Sebaganwa;
ARB created a Facebook group “Alumni Rwanda Belgium” or the networking and exchange of information.
