feet up and grab a cuppa. We’re always on the lookout for
new recruits to help us manage the stand so feel free to
volunteer if you have a few moments spare that weekend,
Friday through to Sunday.
Once again, I’d like to thank sponsors, organisations and
people who support us in any way to make this a success;
including donations of prizes for the raffle, bakers, and
folks who donate cakes, biscuits, etc. It’s a stressful few
days, but we receive great feedback every year, which
makes it all worthwhile.
I’m glad we can be of service to visitors and exhibitors who
we welcome on that weekend. Everyone helps makes this
a success, not only for the Club but also the Society, and
ultimately the EWF.
The National Pedigree Calf Show was judge by Mrs. Gail
Ellis there were very strong classes for Mrs. Ellis, her
Champion this year was won by Kevin Watret with Solway
View Tesha shown by Stockman Ali Jackson who then went
on to take the Reserve Interbreed Title as well. Reserve
Champion was M Brown & D Haigh Beckside Tess.
The British Blues then went on to win Duke of Norfolk
Trophy for the group of three for the 2nd year represented
by Solway View Sunlight from Kevin Watret (led by Josh
Geary) Brookley Blue Thumbelina from Jamie Taylor; 290:
Solway View Tesha from Kevin Watret (Ali Jackson) it was a
credit to the breed of the quality of the calf’s presented.
We’re able to host our Club Calf Show classes at the English
Winter Fair. Congratulations to Jamie Taylor who was
awarded Champion in the North West Club Calf Show
classes for 2022 with Brookley Blue Thumnelina.
Our Raffle from 2022 English Winter Fair raised £400 and
was donated to Katherine House Hospice at Stafford. We
thank everyone who purchased tickets.
