FUTURE STEPS
GUIDELINES
After establishing the ways in which the Mary and Eliza Freeman Houses are cultural
heritage and qualify for UNESCO’s World Heritage list, the remaining goals of this proposal and
project is to outline realistic goals for moving forward in an official proposal to UNESCO, and to
consider a sustainable future for the site. To achieve this, below are four key points up for further
discussion, namely:
1. Outlining steps necessary toward a site proposal to UNESCO on behalf of the Freeman Houses
2. The current support, funding, and media attention of the site
3. Considerations for potential business partnerships and marketing strategies
4. Rough estimated costs to catalyst the restoration and proposal projects

While future steps and considerations are critical to realistically manage and sustain the site, there are
certain guidelines that should be greatly emphasized in order preserve the mission, vision, values, and goals
that the houses present. Such key points are outlined below. They have been created out of both the
consideration for the individual values and necessities of the specific site, and with evaluation of the
