William Selwyn – owner of Larkfield Lodge
William Selwyn (left), the owner of Larkfield Lodge, the grand Richmond house after which Larkfield Road was named, was a lawyer and legal author of some repute. After living at Larkfield Lodge,William Selwyn retired to nearby Pagoda House.
He is also known for providing the land upon which the local church (above),
St John the Divine in St John’s Road was built.
