It seems ironic that a company that builds devices designed to grab attention should keep such a low pro le within its industry. Though that perfectly describes OmniSite. The company's cellular, cloud- based monitoring alarms have sold by the thousands, and more than 2,100 government municipalities throughout the country rely on them. Yet, when clients visit the new
OmniSite headquarters for training, they practically need GPS to nd it.
“We don’t even have a sign on our building,” Tom Ward admits, with a slight shoulder shrug and modest grin. “But we’ll put one up when we get around to it.”
Not one for self-promotion, Ward eschews bells and whistles, focusing
instead on the beeping signals of the pump alarm devices created by his sta of engineers and software developers.
His on-site sales sta and team of independent reps in the eld get the devices into the hands of customers. As full-service reps, they sell and install the equipment and then train customers how to use it. They also
